Long a pillar of the financial centre, Switzerland's neutrality is being called into question
Nicolas Ramseier, AGEFI
On April 9, at the Société de lecture, the Geneva Center for Neutrality organized a debate on the theme: "The Swiss Financial Center and Neutrality," bringing together prominent Swiss figures and representatives of major foreign banks operating in Switzerland.
The objective was to stimulate reflection on key questions. Is neutrality still necessary for the Swiss financial center, and what are its competitive advantages today? What should we do if the European Union (EU) maintains sanctions while the United States lifts them: who should we follow? And what about access to the European market and the institutional agreement?
