Public debate on "What kind of neutrality are we talking about - and what should it serve?"

Ahead of Switzerland’s federal popular vote on the Neutrality Initiative on 27 September 2026, the Geneva Center for Neutrality and the Geneva Press Club invite you to a public debate on "What kind of neutrality are we talking about — and what should it serve?"

The debate will bring together:

Micheline Calmy-Rey — Former President of the Swiss Confederation and former Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs
Vincent Maître — Geneva National Councillor, The Centre
Jean-Pierre Pasquier — Member of the Geneva Grand Council and Mayor of Onex
Jean-Philippe Gaudin — Former Director of the Swiss Federal Intelligence Service
Samuel Sommaruga — Geneva-based doctor and co-founder of the Committee for International Geneva and its Neutrality
